This club for preteens (aged 9-12 years) is designed to be a safe space in which individuals are supported in playing and creating alongside peers while exploring different arts and crafts. Club participation requires participants to commit to attending 60-minute sessions two times a week over four weeks (8 sessions total). Each series will have an art medium as a central theme (paint, clay, glue, paper, beads, etc.) that will be explored while finding joy and sense of belonging among peers, building regulation capacities, and targeting executive functioning skill development.

Uncover the magic of arts and crafts through the lens of sensory-informed occupational therapy by joining our specially crafted club led by STAR therapist Chelsea Marquette, COTA/L. Here, your child will dive into captivating projects designed not only to ignite joy in leisure activities but also to foster meaningful connections and nurture a genuine sense of belonging. Don't miss out on the chance to support growth and creative expression through this unique therapeuticly supportive group. Get started now and let the artistic journey begin!

“Occupational therapy can incorporate arts and crafts into intervention to provide individuals with a chance for self-expression, coping strategies, access to social groups, and improved physical functioning (Winther-Hansen et al., 2020)”.
