STAR Institute is expanding its Board of Directors and seeking new members with diverse perspectives, voices and backgrounds to join our collaborative leadership team.
We are looking for candidates for the Board of Directors who are passionate servant leaders, advocates, and community minded individuals from diverse backgrounds to help guide STAR in our mission and strategic vision.
We’re currently seeking members of focused skill sets of finance, sales & marketing, business, and neurodivergent representation to contribute their expertise to support the growth of sensory integration and processing awareness and our impact on the community.
STAR Institute is the international leader for research, treatment, and education related to sensory integration and processing. Our mission is to impact quality of life by developing and promoting best practices for sensory health and wellness through treatment, education, and research.
The STAR philosophy on sensory integration and processing incorporates an intentional focus on regulation and relationships. Our STAR Frame of Reference is relevant across the lifespan, and applicable to developmental and behavioral diagnoses. STAR educational programs are dynamic, interactive experiences that build on foundational knowledge of sensory integration and processing by incorporating relational and regulation awareness into existing interventions

What’s Expected?
- Promote and support STAR’s mission, vision, goals, community, and programs.
- Attend and actively engage in monthly board meetings.
- Contribute insight and participate in the governance process.
- Cultivate a culture of collaboration, diverse partnerships, awareness, and advocacy.
- Help manage the Board’s financial responsibilities and assist in the approval and monitoring of the annual budget.
- Assist in strategic planning, reviewing progress, and updating plans as necessary.
- Annual financial donation to STAR Institute, no fixed amount.
- Board Director terms are three-year commitments with a two-term limit.
