Join us for STAR’s Virtual Summit: Current and Emerging Research on Sensory Integration & Sensory-Motor Development, an inspiring and informative event that brings together leading experts, professionals, and advocates. This summit will explore the latest research, practical strategies, and innovative approaches to support sensory health and wellness across the lifespan.
We are seeking dynamic speakers who can educate, inspire, and engage professionals, advocates, and individuals navigating sensory processing challenges (SPD, Autism, ADHD, etc.). If you have expertise in sensory-related research, clinical practice, or advocacy and can provide actionable insights through interactive presentations or workshops, we invite you to submit a proposal.
Be part of this important conversation and help advance best practices in sensory health and wellness!
Presenter Guidelines and Requirements:
STAR Institute is a not-for-profit organization.
We are primarily seeking Occupational Therapists, Certified Occupational Therapist Assistants, Physical Therapists, Speech-Language Pathologists, or Neuroscientists with research within the last 3 years. The committee will consider a broader range of proposals, but the primary focus of this conference is on Current Research supporting Neuro-Affirming Care.
All presentations are 60-minute sessions with 40-45 minutes of presentation and then 15 to 20 minutes of discussion and Q&A. The sessions will be delivered live online using the Zoom platform. Accommodations can be made if necessary.
The STAR Virtual Summit is a premier event dedicated to advancing sensory health and wellness. All presentations should align with STAR’s mission: to impact quality of life by developing and promoting best practices through treatment, education, and research.
Proposals must be submitted electronically and completely by April 22, 2025. A committee of STAR employees and consultants will review the proposals and make decisions as soon as possible. We ask that you save a copy of your submission information in case it is needed. You will be notified either way of our decision.
Presenters and presentations should embrace diversity, including neurodiversity, in an accepting and appreciative manner.
Presentation slides can only be branded with an organization on the title slide and ending slide. The rest of the presentation slides must be free from organizational branding. In addition, the presentations cannot be used to market or sell a product or service.
All presenters will receive free registration to the Summit.
STAR reserves the right to select or not select any presentation at its discretion. Justification may not be provided, and no appeals will be considered.
Presenters will be required to submit information as laid out in our MOU and email communications.
