Position Summary
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Occupational Therapist trained in sensory integration and committed to neurodiversity-affirming practices. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of sensory processing, relationship-based interventions, and the unique needs of neurodivergent populations.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans aligned with the STAR Frame of Reference.
- Provide individual and group therapy services.
- Facilitate play-based therapy sessions utilizing Ayres Sensory Integration / STAR Frame of Reference methodologies.
- Collaborate with clients, families, and interdisciplinary teams to ensure holistic, client-centered care. Engage in parent education and coaching.
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation, including treatment notes and progress reports.
- Communicate complex condition relation information from the assessment to clients, families, and member of the multi-disciplinary team including other professions outside of STAR. Demonstrating empathy and ensuring that affective communication is achieved, particularly where barriers to understanding exits.
- Interdisciplinary collaboration to provide comprehensive care.
- Engage in ongoing professional development and mentorship opportunities.
- Participate in community workshops and parent education sessions to promote understanding of sensory health.
- Support STAR’s research initiatives by identifying potential clients and gathering data as needed.
Qualifications
- Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
- Current licensure in the state of Colorado and eligibility for Medicaid reimbursement.
- Minimum of 5 years of clinical experience, with a focus on pediatric populations.
- Proficiency in Spanish is a plus.

Working Environment
- Must be able to perform physical activities that require considerable use of arms and legs, including lifting and moving equipment.
- Ability to conduct 6 hours of direct treatment in a gym setting daily.
Hours of Operation
- 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, between 7:00 AM and 7:00 PM.
Pay: $73,000-$79,000 per year
