Abby graduated with her Bachelors of Science in Health Sciences at the University of Arizona with a major in Honors Physiology and minors in Psychology and Spanish. She moved on to complete the Doctor of Occupational Therapy Program at Northern Arizona University, and during her program also worked as an inpatient rehabilitation technician at Mayo Clinic Hospital in the Intensive Care Unit, Acute Care floors, and Inpatient Rehabilitation Facility settings.
Abby moved to Colorado for a research-focused residency in sensory processing at STAR Institute, along with involvement in the adult and adolescent treatment program. During her residency, Abby received training in Sensory Processing Disorder evaluation and treatment, including Level 1 Mentorship at STAR Institute and over 20 hours of Continuing Education courses through STAR Online Learning. Before joining the team at STAR as a therapist, Abby gained work experience in the early childhood preschool setting, home health for adults, and cognitive training with adults and adolescents.
